The course consists of 30 subhashita-s with a variety of ideas, rich in language and style. The verses are explained in simple Sanskrit with anecdotes, directed to enhance one’s laukika (लौकिकज्ञान - Worldly Knowledge / wisdom) and vyavahara jnana (व्यवहारज्ञान - Practical Knowledge / wisdom).

- Basic knowledge of Sanskrit language and grammar, having passed at least one level of any informal Sanskrit exam (Chittoor board / Samskrita Bharati / Surasaraswathi sabha, etc).
- Ability to understand simple spoken Sanskrit.

30 Subhashitas have been chosen from different categories, having a variety of ideas an rich in language and style. With three subhashita-s per session, one can enjoy the Neeti, Dharma, Sadachara and Loka Vyavahara from the ideas expressed in the subhashita-s. This course attempts to explain the subhashita-s, and discuss the words and their tatparya. Their subtle implications, along with explicit meaning will be covered. The explanation will be directed to enhance one’s laukika and vyavahara jnana, i.e., practical and worldly knowledge.
