Laghu Stotramala is a collection of stotras composed by Sri Sri Krishnapremi Swamigal, Paranur. It comprises of 4 parts – Part 1 contains simple, delectable verses mostly in the anushtubh metrical pattern. Profound in meaning, these are easy-to-learn verses and offer sheer joy to young learners and beginners alike.In this course, 10 stotras (Nearly 150 shlokas) from the Laghu Stotramala Part 1 were taught over a period of 7-8 months.

Recitation and memorization of shlokas has been an ancient and time-tested technique to boost memory power. It acts as a powerful and positive stimulant for today’s feverish younger generation. Scientific research proves that recitation of meter bound shlokas augments memory power, concentration and retention capacities of the learner.

It comprises 4 parts – Part 1 contains simple, delectable verses mostly in the anushtubh metrical pattern. Profound in meaning, these are easy-to-learn verses and offer sheer joy to young learners and beginners alike.
In this course, 10 stotras (Nearly 150 shlokas) from the Laghu Stotramala Part 1 is taught.
  1. सात्त्विकस्मरणम् (sattvikasmaranam) – 8 shlokas
  2. नदीस्तोत्रम् (nadistotram) – 6 shlokas
  3. अष्टश्लोकी (ashtashloki) – 9 shlokas
  4. श्रीगुरोरष्टकम् (shrigurorashtakam) – 9 shlokas
  5. रुद्राष्टकम् (rudrashtakam) – 9 shlokas
  6. अक्षरमालिका (aksharamalika) – 55 shlokas (Shlokas starting from each letter of the Sanskrit alphabet. Aksharamala is an initiative to introduce to the young learner the devanagari–aksharas through the recitation of shlokas.
  7. नृसिंहपञ्चामृतम् (nrisimhapanchamritam) – 6 shlokas
  8. लक्ष्मीस्तोत्रम् (lakshmistotram) – 25 shlokas
  9. गरुडपञ्चकम् (garudapanchakam) – 6 shlokas
  10. दशावतारमङ्गलम् (dashavataramangalam) – 11 shlokas
