Subhashitam means good speech or eloquent saying. The course consists of 25 subhashitas with a variety and richness of the language, ideas and style. The verses are explained in simple Sanskrit with anecdotes, directed to enhance one’s laukika and vyavahara jnana. i.e. practical worldly knowledge. This course expresses wise thoughts, to be understood and followed by every human to lead a successful life. In this course, Dr. Nagaratna Hegde explains the meaning of the subhashitas in Simple Sanskrit.

30 Subhashitas have been chosen from different categories, having a variety of ideas an rich in language and style. With three subhashitas per session, one can enjoy the Neeti, Dharma, Sadachara and Loka Vyavahara from the ideas expressed in the subhashitas. This course attempts to explain the subhashitas, and discuss the words and their tatparya. Their subtle implications, along with explicit meaning will be covered. The explanation will be directed to enhance one’s laukika and vyavahara jnana, i.e., practical and worldly knowledge.
