A course covering the entire Kridanta Prakarana of the Siddhanta Kaumudi, along with all sutras which are involved in the derivation of Kridanta forms of all 2000 dhatus. The course develops a step-wise structure for prakriya, and compares and contrasts the Kaumudi text vis-a-vis the Kashika. Portions from advanced texts like Bhashya and Shekhara are also discussed in several contexts.

- Working understanding of Ashtadhyayi is required and it is expected that the learners must have studied at least one other Ashtadhyayi / Siddhanta Kaumudi course before this.
- Basic knowledge of constructing and using commonly known Kridanta forms in their own sentences.
- Ability to understand spoken english and Shastric Sanskrit (Large portion of the explanation will be in Sanskrit).

Bhattoji Dikshita’s monumental work, Vaiyakarana Siddhanta Kaumudi, is one of the foundational texts of Vyakarana, where all the sutras of the Ashtadhyayi are discussed with explanation and examples. It is a reordering of the sutras of Ashtadhyayi to facilitate a student to pick up rupasiddhi (derivation of forms) easily. Kaumudi is also known for the exactness of its Vriitti-s (sutrartha), which distill the essence of Mahabhashya succinctly.
