The Champuramayana is one of the most popular, and beautiful champu kavyas of Samskrta. Composed by the royal poet Bhoja, it employs extremely attractive language and expressions to retell the story of Rama in an enchanting way. The Bala and Sundara kandas of this work are very popular among students, and prescribed for study in various examinations.
The story is the same as the sundara kanda of Valmiki’s Ramayana, but told in a concise way. The number of shlokas in this kanda is 77.
