Bharatiya Jyotish Vijnan is an introductory course in the principles of Bharatiya Jyotish Shastra, or Indian Astronomical Sciences. Jyotisha holds great importance in the Indian way of life, philosophy, and culture, which is closely tied to the movement of planetary bodies. One of the Vedangas (limbs of the Vedas), Jyotisha guides human life for harmony with cosmic laws. It is a system based on astronomical observations made by Rishis to calculate dik, desha and kaala, or directions, place and time; which are relevant in day-to-day life. Aligning astronomical movements and timekeeping is one of the greatest contributions of Jyotisha shastra to the world. Apart from astronomy and mathematics, Jyotisha has applications in other fields such as medicine, climate studies and agriculture. Understanding the fundamentals of this shastra aids in expanding the applications of this subject in many fields of modern science.

This course is based on the basic concepts of Indian Astrology, with authentic sources relying on astronomical concepts from Vedanga Jyotisha, Siddhanta Granthas (Surya Siddhanta, Aryabhatiya, Brahmasphuta Siddhanta etc.), Samhita Granthas (Brihat Samhita, Samhitadi Granthas), classical Hora Granthas (Jataka Parijat, Horashastra) and other ancient texts related to astrology. The outline of the sessions have been formulated keeping in mind the contributions of Acharyas like Laghdhacharya, Aryabhatta, Varahamihira, Bhaskaracharya etc.
The compilation and presentation of this course has been prepared to understand modern relevance so that students can grasp the esoteric concepts of ancient texts in a simple and organized manner.

हाँ। इस पाठ्यक्रम में मध्यवर्ती मूल्यांकन होगा, प्रत्येक 30 अंकों का होगा, और अंतिम मूल्यांकन होगा, प्रत्येक 70 अंकों का होगा। जो छात्र दोनों मूल्यांकन पूरे कर लेंगे और कुल मिलाकर 60% या उससे अधिक औसत अंक प्राप्त करेंगे, उन्हें व्योम लैब्स द्वारा एक ई-प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान किया जाएगा।
Yes. There will be one Intermediate (Mid-Term) Assessment for 30 marks each and one Final Assessment for 70 marks. Learners who complete both the assessments and score an overall average of 60% or more will be awarded an e-certificate by Vyom Labs.
