Basic knowledge of Sanskrit language and grammar, at the level of Chittoor - Abhijna / Samskrita Bharati – Parichaya / Sri Surasaraswathi Sabha – Dvitiya / CBSE 10th std.

About the Text and the Author

अनुवादप्रदीपः-१ is a systematically graded course designed by the Sringeri Pundits, starting from very basic level of sentence formation with one noun and one verb heading to higher levels of language.This is a book published by Sri Surasaraswati Sabha, Sringeri and is also a part of syllabus for the third level (Trutiya) of Saral Sanskrit Examinations conducted by the Sabha.

About the Sabha

With a great intent to spread the awareness about Sanskrit and to provide an opportunity for everyone to learn this divine language, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji (35th Acharya of the Sri Sharada Peetham) established Sri Surasaraswathi Sabha. This Sabha is flourishing under the guidance of Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji and Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji. Simple Sanskrit Examinations in 5 levels are conducted by the Sabha for the promotion of Sanskrit language. This course aims at providing methodical and structured teaching for a part of the third exam – Trutiya.

What is the Syllabus?

This course covers all the 21 topics related to language and grammar as per the contents in the book “अनुवादप्रदीपः-१”. Both the Sanskrit and English exercises will be solved and discussed during the class by which students gets a good exposure and deeper outlook to the language concepts involved in and around translation.
