Know More about the Course

Shivanandalahari is a poem of one hundred verses, composed by Adi Shankaracharya. It literally means the "Wave of Auspicious Bliss". Adi Shankaracharya sings marvelously in praise of the epitome of auspiciousness, Shiva. The Stotra-s is immensely helpful to invoke Bhakti in sadhaka-s and aspirants. It is believed that this gem of a Stotra-s was composed by Adi Shankara while staying in Srisailam, a pilgrimage town, in Kurnool district of Andhra, a state in southern India. It begins with an ode to Mallikarjuna and Bhramarambika, the deities at Srisailam.

It offers several spiritual benefits. It kindles Bhakti Bhava towards Parameshvara, fostering a strong sense of divine connection and promoting mental tranquility and spiritual contentment. The verses enhance understanding of Advaita Vedanta, emphasizing the unity of the individual consciousness with the divine, supreme consciousness. By focusing on divine love and grace, it aids in overcoming negative emotions and contributes to emotional well-being. Shivanandalahari encourages self-realization and the pursuit of higher spiritual goals, leading to spiritual elevation.

With the blessings of Adi Shankaracharya and the Guru-parampara, let us dive into this "Wave of Auspicious Bliss".
